Homestay Accommodation

Stay with Matt on retreat:

You’re warmly invited to take time out and recharge, with a B&B break at my home in Brighton, East Sussex. located just a short walk from the sea.

Get away from it all with a guest stay at my top floor 2-bedroom apartment, complete with stunning 180 degree views across Brighton and out to sea.

My place is located in Brighton's lovely 7 Dials area, with shops, cafes, bakeries and a great pub all just moments away. It's a 10-minute walk into town, or down to the seafront.

I'm normally around, and always happy to chat/tell you about some of Brighton's hidden gems – but I'm also equally happy to 'read the room' and work around you, if you'd like some space to just be!

1 or 2 night packages include accommodation, breakfast and a 90-minute Ka Huna massage, to help you relax and unwind.

  • Sleep like a baby, and wake to sea views from your bedroom

  • Tuck in to delicious, hearty home-cooked breakfasts, and optional dinners.

  • Enjoy a cold drink on the balcony at sunset, after a reviving massage.

  • Stretch out in a hot Epsom salt bath, chill with a movie, or sample Brighton's bustling nightlife.

Bring a partner or friend, or just yourself, and enjoy a warm welcome, healing food, reviving bodywork and good company!

Things To Do:

Take a stroll down to Brighton's famous seafront, for some sun, sea and sand. Well, pebbles...

Explore Brighton's bustling shopping district, The Laines, and soak up the charming narrow streets, artsy shops and cool cafes. Grab a coffee at a pavement cafe, and watch the world go by.

Hire a bike and take a cycle along the 5km undercliff walk, which runs under towering cliffs, right alongside the sea as you head east towards Peacehaven.

Take a yoga class at the excellent nearby Space Yoga Centre.

Spend the afternoon on the beach, whether it's Brighton main beach, Hove lawns, or the local nude beach – depending on your flavour!

Take a drive to visit the amazing nearby countryside of the South Downs (I can recommend a few lovely spots).

Or just relax at home with a good book...

"Matt, thank you so much for an incredible few days at Aloha Kahuna. Your home is so beautiful and relaxing, you are a wonderful host and great company, and your food is sensational! I can’t even begin to describe how great your massage was – it totally relaxed me and really got me into the right headspace for my mini break. It was a spectacular holiday and I can’t thank you enough for making it special. If you’ve found Matt’s page, do yourself a favour and book in immediately – you can thank me later!"

"Matt is a very gracious host who offers the perfect combination of location and hospitality to create a truly stunning place in the world to unwind. I was lucky enough to try out his cooking during my stay - second to no restaurant in the local area, or even further afield! An experienced Kahuna Masseur with a highly intuitive style, to leave without experiencing one of his massages would be an incomplete visit. The environment of the area , along with Matt's charm, genuine warmth, and his in-depth local knowledge delivers an experience far superior to anything else on offer from other accommodations nearby."

Scott, (Aug 2017)

Wonderful home and host, Matt was a gracious host easy to get on with and made a scrumptious breakfast. Location was perfect... quiet enough, but close enough to the action as well.

I enjoyed my stay at Matt's place and would recommend it and would stay again. Mat is very warm and welcoming and does all he can to make you feel at home. Great place, great food and I recommend a massage during your stay.
